From The Chair
Back in May 2006 I was part of the driving force setting up Stevenage Storm Junior Netball Club. I knew back then that this netball club would be successful, as there weren’t any netball clubs in Stevenage for local children to participate in.

The aim of the club is to promote and develop the sport of Netball, giving girls the opportunity to participate and learn the required skills of the sport through structured coaching sessions delivered by All England qualified coaches. It also matches skills, drills and fitness sessions to age and ability, enabling each player to reach their full potential within the club, or at County, or National level.

I have an enthusiastic passion for Netball and keen to see the sport grow. I have played netball myself for over 15 years in local teams and county level, managed a team for four years and been on several netball committees. Along the way I have coached various teams from juniors through to adults and gained different qualifications, which have helped me get where I am today.

So whatever standard you are, whether beginner or playing in your school team, there is a lot of netball to enjoy outside of school. It is an ideal way to meet new people and to make new friends as well as improving your game.
